Illum deheret stqarrija għall-istampa li tagħti rendikont tal-attivitajiet tal-assocjazzjoni matul l-2010:
Next Sunday the association “Maltin fil-Belġju asbl” will be celebrating the feast of Saint Martin in Brussels by giving the traditional bag filled with nuts and dried fruits to the children of the members of the Maltese community in Belgium.
The association was launched at an inaugural event in February held at the Malta Business Bureau in Brussels, on the initiative of the Embassy of Malta in Brussels and with the assistance of a number of Maltese sponsors. Since then, the association has gained recognition as an official non-profit organisation in Belgium and contributed, by way of proposals, to the Convention of Maltese living abroad held in Malta in March.
At the end of June, the association organised a successful “Imnarja picnic” and earlier this month, the association participated, together with the Maltese Ambassador and a representative of the AFM, in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Ploegsteert Memorial to the Missing where Second Lieutenant B. F. P. Bernard, the first Maltese casualty of the First World War, is commemorated.
